They descend from Richard Bland Lee who owned this property in the late 18th and early 19th century. Over Sarah’s right shoulder is Inez (Arlington, VA) whose great-great grandfather was enslaved by Robert E. Lee at Arlington House (Lee Mansion). That’s Cathy on Sarah’s right and me on her left - we are Northern Virginia members of Coming To the Table (ComingToTheTable.org).
